Crandellwood Aussies
Snowberry Point is a young kennel with high expectations of our future Aussies. Each litter is planned to combine exceptional genetics to produce sound, well balanced Aussies having outstanding temperaments. They are our pets first and foremost.
Our puppies come with normal health guarantees and lifetime support from us at Snowberry Point. Show prospects come with a guarantee against any disqualifying faults. All puppies are placed after appropriate health checks. Puppies are raised in the house and are exposed to many sights and sounds. Tails and dew claws are removed at about 2 to 3 days old. They will be wormed and will receive their first shot before leaving us. There are always things that can happen, but we carefully chose our pedigrees to avoid health issues and problems.
Any dog that is used for breeding will have proper health clearances appropriate for an Australian Shepherd. Our dogs have OFA hip Certifications and their eyes tested annually.
We always breed with the goal of producing a puppy that we ourselves would love to own and add to our pack The pedigrees and sires chosen are to produce show prospects for us to move forward with our program. As it is best to evaluate puppies at 8 weeks of age, we will likely not decide who we're keeping until the 8 week evaluation. Which means that we will not be able to say exactly what puppies can go where until then. Sometimes there are puppies we can identify as something we don't need for our breeding/show program and we can and will commit on those before the 8 week evaluations.
All puppies will leave with a contract. Pet/companion puppies are sold with limited registration to be spayed or neutered. Conformation/breeding prospects are done by private contract. Almost all of our intact puppies leave on a co-own, which may be lifted once health testing and contractual obligation is fulfilled.
